Restoring my fathers old hunting Jeep

John...Magnificent restoration! I think it sure must take a special disposition to take on such a project with total attention to detail. Way above my pay grade but sure enjoyable to follow along on the journey!
 
Yeah ... that's an $80.00 bill but I did get the winch hooked up. In and out shaft is a bit stiff. Why the lever broke.

Well spent the day yesterday under the jeep replacing the rear main seal. Brand new rope seal was put on when I rebuilt it but it leaked so a neoprene seal is in now

Good look at my engine compartment, which I believe is as close to how it came from factory that I can figure out

I got the new winch handle and tow hooks on. For some reason it's very hard engaging the winch, need to whack the handle with a rubber mallet, which is why I broke the last handle. Probably never use the winch but I like everything to work so probably tear into it this winter

Mounted the rear seat brackets. I sprayed the bottom of the brackets with bed liner to keep from scratching.

Also made myself a glove box, fits like a glove ....Get it......

What a ride-a-long this has been John! That is one beautiful Jeep. You gotta feel really proud to have completed such a laborious project in such detail.
