It is a holly. They grow wild in several states, including where I live. I wouldn't do anything with it and just let it grow. They make good screening and generally don't get very large in the deep woods. They can take quite a bit of shade, but not as much as many people think. That's why you will see small ones in the deep woods but not larger ones - with too much shade, they eventually die. The larger ones will usually be found where they get a little more sun. I've seen a few of these get 30 feet or more high, but they grow slow and it takes many years to get that big.
