Sweet. But I'll see your Red and raise you a Golden. But you have to wait, I'm a month behind you.

You have set a high bar Native for the best apple picture! I'm in but we are at least two months behind you so be patient.

Some of those New York apples are getting to be good sized now but still very green. I noticed at least 5 on one tree yesterday. Hope they hold on until the end of season.

Steve, some that are green likely come from one of trees whose apples mature green and do not turn red. The mature green apples from where the green cuttings came from is a highly preferred apple by the deer. Here the apples from the "green" tree are slightly larger than marble size so far.

Dave, I have a record of what I put at different locations. I will check it sometime and let you know.

Very nice! On a side note: what's everyones favorite picker tool?

My favorite is the Eversprout. The head screws on to the pole rather than clamping to the pole like some other designs. They are expensive but worth the extra cost over the long run in my opinion. If you have a clamp to loosen and the head comes loose from the pole and hangs 20 feet up in a tree, you will regret not getting one. https://eversprout.com/product-category/fruit-pickers/

PS: The one shown above in not an Eversprout. I use this one on a short pole for short trees. But I do have an eversprout on a long pole for the high work.
