Persimmon seed

Have some American Persimmon trees along my one field and noticed some fruit still hanging today. Picked a couple low hanging one's and cleaned the seed. Was wondering since they have been on the tree in the cold weather will they be stratified and do you think they will sprout this spring?

Easy to find out.....

scarify and place in growth media.....

They are slow to germinate(~2-3 weeks) if they are viable

Seems I've always heard persimmon seed needs scarified in order for them to germinate. That's why people like to get them out of scat.
