We had some heavy wind 2 days ago, and 2 of my two year old pears were damaged. One of them snapped about 2 feet off the ground. I pruned it below the the break...hopefully a new sprout will show up above the old graft.
The other tree, an oriental pear, was blown over but didn't snap. I could find no outward sign of damage, but it definitely can't support itself. I staked it and left one of the shoots that popped up above the graft in case the top does.
Anything else I should do?
