Anyone else turkey hunting yet? Just had a huge Tom bobcat in the decoys, sacrificed the picture to wake my nine year old up.

Hard to beat a sunrise like that!

We called this Tom in yesterday afternoon. He strutted in the same spot (at 50 yards) for 45 minutes. Sometimes decoys aren’t your friend but they’re helpful to get a bird in range of an arrow or in this case my sons .410. I’m not letting him shoot past 35 yet and ideally 25.

We found one that wanted to commit this afternoon. This is my nine year olds first Tom, he shot a Jake last year.

Great picture,I have a picture of my daughter and son in law carrying turkeys out of the woods side by side when they were 10 or 11.Who knew they would end up getting married.
