I moved from Festus last year and now live in Desoto. I was a Firefighter EMT for 23 years and gave it up in 2004.

Another MO fella here. I was on the QDMA forums for a while, but mostly as a lurker. Relatively active on some other outdoor forums, always under Mo-Ape. Name is Andy and live in suburban St Louis...married with three awesome kids under 9 who are falling in love with hunting and habitat work like their pops. I work in the high-tech industry in a leadership capacity, so being outdoors and playing farmer is the ying to my yang!
We own a 135 acre farm in Pike Co., MO that is 80% hardwood timber with the balance being water and food plots.
I also lease 200 acres in Harrison County, MO with a buddy that is loaded with some giant deer.
I was blessed to speak with Paul Knox (Dbltree) numerous times and definitely am a disciple of his!
I look forward to learning from you all and sharing our habitat journey!

They are! Had the banner raising Monday and the ring ceremony today/tonight....1/2 game back from first, but that is because the reds have played 1 more game than us. I'm not worried about the reds. Your birds have had a rough go thus far. Still doesn't look right seeing Fowler in red like that.....but you guys probably say the same about Heyward.

Have never taken the time to introduce myself. I'm Rusty from central La. and perhaps the luckiest human being ever to inhabit the planet. At 62 I've had the privilege of spending most of my life outdoors participating in just about every aspect of property mgt. , wildlife mgt. and general outdoor adventure possible. At the age of 20 I was fortunate beyond imagination to get full and total control of 1350 acres of unimproved mostly logged over, roadless mixed hardwood /pine forest. The only way to get around was on a 3 wheeler [ remember those days?]
I moved onto the property when I was 24, raised my family there and now get to raise my grandson there as my son/dil have moved to the farm. Hard to beat! Over the past 40 years I have had unbridled opportunity to develop the property exactly to my wishes creating a wildlife paradise all in my back yard. To make it even better my farm joins the farm of my lifelong friend whom I get to share the passion, vision, and results with. His farm is a bit over 1100 acres and our ideals are in lockstep. He lives on his farm as well.
Our properties are managed exclusively for recreation mostly for family and friends and for the most part operated sustainably and organically. I do use some herbicide. Also have been utilizing cover crops extensively the last few years learning a lot from LickCreek as well as extensive study.
In the late 90's I sold a company that I was majority owner and ceo of and bought 25,000 acres from a friend along the Rio Grande River in Northern Mexico. It is a wildlife wonderland and has taught me more about wildlife and whitetails than I could have ever imagined. Blessings indeed.
