Welcome to the fold Dwayne! Lots of good folks here and no drama...I am Dwayne and my username is "useyourbow". No one in my family ever hunted but I was always outside and in the woods. Not certain if it was big game hunters of old Tarzan movies or what but I was always interested so once I was old enough started begging to go with friends from school. 38 years later and I am proud to say that I have killed a whitetail buck in six different states. Fl, Ga, Al, SC, NC, and Kentucky. I primarily hunt with a bow as my username suggest and usually only break the rifle out for out of state freindship hunts. Although I love every day of the season and I love the prep leading up to it even more. I have leased 192 acres in NC this year and I am attempting to make it a better place for the deer and the deer hunter. Hoping to get it set up in order to introduce some new hunters to the ranks. I have passed up more deer/bucks in the past 10 years than I saw in preceding 28 years so I am particular when it comes to pulling the trigger.
What part of nc Dwayne? I am in Chapel Hill area this week
x2!!! DDN...Welcome! Looking forward to seeing Therapy Acres again.DrDirtNap, glad to see you here. I remember Therapy Acres and MsNewby.
Just saw your post on Weasel's thread about the right of way trees. I thought "I don't remember him". Welcome. I bet you have some pretty countryside there in WV.
Good to see you here and thanks for letting us know what your old handle was on QDMA...My name is Anthony. I'm DrDirtNap on this forum. On the old forum I was MSNewby. Like someone else said on here, I'm a bonafide "deplorable" country boy with strong conservative values. I love the outdoors and I'm lucky to have a family that also enjoys the outdoors. Around 2008 we purchased a 200 acre parcel of land in North MS I call Therapy Acres because it is pure therapy for me. Over the years my focus has shifted from hunting more so to habitat development. I really enjoy waterfowl and turkey hunting and I also deer hunt as much as I can. I started training retrievers 20 years ago and enjoy watching my two labs work and retrieve.
There are a lot of experts on this forum and I enjoy the wealth of knowledge shared by all.

Welcome TMT - you will fit in just great here with all the old crew from QDMA and a bunch of new ones!Hi, I was a member of the QDMA forum for nearly 10 years. I love in Texas and hunt/habitat in NW Texas. I am looking forward to catching up with a lot of the QDM members that migrated over here, and meeting new folks interested in habitat and hunting.
I had to go look but I found it and had even posted in it! Wow...I have such a short memoryI've slowly started doing a property tour the advantage is it's a fairly narrow 100 acres

I remember you from over there now that mention it...you certainly live in a hunters paradise! Shed season should be soon for you...Hi there, i posted as wawhitey on the qdma forums, just found this place. Glad to see a forum where similar subjects and knowledge are available to replace the forum that got shot down. I live in washington state and in addition to hunting whitetails ive been known to pester elk, bears and cougars with varying degrees of success
Too much snow for shed hunting still. I found a 7x elk shed in november while whitetail hunting, and a big whitetail shed in december, he dropped dec 19th. By the time snow melts off enough to shed hunt ill be too busy with my trail cams, but ill likely pick up a moose paddle or two on accident while running cams.I remember you from over there now that mention it...you certainly live in a hunters paradise! Shed season should be soon for you...
