On the inside blind surface I glue black or dark gray unbacked automobile carpet. This makes for a very comfortable and quiet blindLooking for some help, going to build a 6x6 deer blind before fall and looking for ideas on black insulation? A local company is using some type of material that is about 1/4 think but silver on one side and black on the other side. Any ideas??

Thats a great idea but I dont have any plywood on my walls, just ProRib steel then the Geotextile Fabric which not sure if the pink foam would stick that well....If you can't find the black material you are looking for the pink foam insulation board works well glued to treated 0.5" plywood exterior panel (or whatever sheathing you are using). I like the window set up! I'm going 8x8 and looking at cheap ways to make windows! I might frame the plexiglass into a 1x1 wood frame. This is what I am looking for if any ideas
It sounds like you're looking at foil-faced foam insulation with a black coating on one side. It's often used for heat retention and concealment. Check products like Reflectix or black-faced polyiso panels, which fit that description. Local insulation suppliers should carry something similar. If you can't find the black material you are looking for the pink foam insulation board works well glued to treated 0.5" plywood exterior panel (or whatever sheathing you are using) Check it out. Hang fly tape inside the blind before hunting season takes care of a lot of bugs. I've had to put ant powder in one 16' high blind recently.Good luck with bugs using ribbed metal and just insulation inside. You better foam the crap out of it...

Some great ideas. I have picked up some used double sided steel insulated garage door panels to use for the walls and roof on a blind. Plan to use a cheap vinyl slider window. Now to find the time to do it.
For any novices using metal panel for a roof, the most important thing to do is lay some type of condensation prevention barrier under the roof panel, otherwise, under certain conditions the condensation will drip on you and your guns.
