I need help IDing this weed

I've been through Forest Plants of the Southeast a couple of times and can't ID this weed. It's coming up thick in a couple of my food plots and I'd like to know what it is before I eradicate it. If it's the same plant I think it is that we had issues with last summer, it has little yellow flowers in July/aug. it almost looks a bit like Parsley. Thanks in advance.

That would be Buttercup. It likes wetter heavier ground. Emerges in the fall and winter and will get a yellow flower in the spring. Should die and fade away after it flowers.

YES! That's exactly what it is. My neighbor is a farmer and he calls it butter weed. Now I remember. Thanks so much for your help. It's so heavy in one of my fields right now, it's competing heavily with the clover.
