Hunting after a Rain...

Hey guys! Just looking for opinions and/or suggestions on hunting strategies for hunting after rain has fallen. Do you tend to see more movement during the end of a rain or once all rain has stopped? Does scent control seem to be an issue during or after a rain? Interested to see the opinions and tactics used with this subject. Thanks guys, JRambo

I enjoy hunting deer after a rain unless it’s associated with a cold front, which is usually the case during winter months in the south. As far as scent, treat it just as you would on a sunny day.

If the rain is associated with a front, I have had good luck once the front pushes out and pressure starts rising.

Usually 24 hours after the front moves through has been best for me

This, or just before a front hits. A deer or any other animal can smell best when humidity is higher though.
