Farm and Ranch life

Always enjoy your videos! Thanks for sharing those beautiful bucks. The tree damage is terrible, but I guess that's mother nature doing her thing.

Didn't get much video from the farm this year cause of hurricane damage, mosquitoes and tough circumstances but here's a few
Stunning as always! Will you have to do anything to combat privet at your farm, with all the sunlight making its way thru?

Good eye on the privet. Historically hasn't been a problem only populating the edges a little bit. I am concerned now about privet and tallow invaded the open woods. Don't have an answer but will be very observant

Great video, as always. Watching Squiggly walk across that plot makes me doubt ever aging a deer correctly, LoL. That 8 or 9 year old looks like a 4 year old with his straight back and sleek body. If he had a smaller rack I'd think he was 3.5 :)

Aging bucks is a tricky proposition at best . Time of year, subspecies , nutrition all have an effect. Unless one knows his herd well generally best to think in terms of young middle age and old. I've come to challenge my ability to age any bucks with total accuracy unless I know the deer. When I post the video from Mexico you will see a 13 yr old that looks and behaves like a 5 yr old. But we know the deer well. And his rack is about as big as its ever been.

Squiggly looks young there because post rut and he has lost a bunch of weight. Camera pics earlier had him looking like a giant bull probably weighing 250+ . Look at his hocks and head then compare to some of the younger bucks.

In Mexico we watch a lot of bucks and it is amazing the change from November when the look like a brahma bull till late January when the look emaciated.

Now that I've watched a few of your videos, I read all of your posts in your voice. :) Excellent stuff as always.

164" 8 pt my buddies son got. Was bigger last year with double forked 2's but after hunting him all season no luck
