Fall tree planting ? Trees coming to life

I do thousands of trees in the fall most years. Usually shipped dormant. Plant, then they don't show green until the next growing season.
I put some in the other day that were dormant, and now they are leaving out.

Mid Michigan area probably a month away from some good frosts. Will these trees adjust, and go dormant again? Or will the freeze torch those new leaves and kill them?

Thanks

You'll need to see if they set buds for next year. I would say it's unlikely given the short amount of time.

My bareroot persimmons look terrible every august, but already have new buds pushed for next season. This is easier to see on some trees than others.
