Deer Creek seed

Looking to plant another micro-plot & some logging roads, mainly for deer but maybe for turkey as well & have heard good things about Deer Creek seeds. With bad soil & partial sun at best, I was thinking of the Wildlife Clover mix, Perennial Plus Clover mix, &/or Loggers Trail mix. What Deer Creek seeds have ya'll used & w/ what results?

I bought MR and Alsike from them last year, Fall planted them with WR. It grew some under the WR. Hopefully it'll come on strong this Spring but it's all still covered with snow. This year I've purchased 5Lbs each Frosty Bereseem, Fixation Balansa, and Crimson Clover. I also bought some kohlrabi to mix into my planned Fall brassica mix, just for grins. Kohlrabi is not inexpensive seed.

Shipment on all orders has been prompt. Packaging has been sound and professional. I haven't spoken to anyone there. It's all been through their website.

Last year I planted the the loggers trail mix and added some additional inoculated Ladino clover and it did really well. I did add some phosphorus and potassium to my trails and very lightly disc'd in before I planted

Sugar Beets - Probably best plot i've ever had.
Brassica Blend - Had pretty good success with it as well, would choose it over some of the big name brands.
Few of there other blends had semi good luck with, but not outstanding.... succotash and autumn mix.

Cool, I get my Winfred Brassica and Rutabagas from them every year. Performance has been excellent. I order my clover mixes(mostly jumbo ladino/chicory) and a LC like brassica mix from Welters Seed and Honey every year. Their products and service have been stellar.

I recently placed an order with Deer Creek. One of the Items that I ordered was Fixation Balansa Clover. They Shipped me a bag of VNS Balansa Clover. I've sent them an email asking them why they did not ship Fixation as ordered. I'll post their response when I get one.

I planted their prime time brassica mix this year. Been great so far.

Years ago I tried their loggers trail mix. I remember it grew but fizzled out due to too much shade I’m guessing.

I got a response to my e-mail from Jim Martin at Deer Creek. He promised me a replacement bag of Fixation ASAP. I received my package today. I will not hesitate to order from them again. Great Customer Service!

I had no doubt they'd make it right. You may find seed cheaper, but I doubt you'll find better service.
