Unless you use a crossbow with a crank your argument holds no water. Pulling a crossbow back even with the aid of ropes is at least 3 times harder (assuming you have a 50lb draw weight on your bow) than drawing a bow back. Call my colors what you may but like I said this is my opinion from my perspective. Seems to me you're the one who has a chip and is slightly protective of the subject.
Back the the OP. A few years ago my boss had to have rotator cuff surgery a few weeks before we were to head out to Kansas. He had to get a doctors exemption to use a crossbow. I went with him to Bass Pro to get a Ten point titan with the crank on it. After purchasing the crossbow, xtra bolts, broadheads, case, sling, etc he walked out of there an easy $2k lighter. After his rehab he bought a new bow with a lighter draw weight and easier let off. He still slays deer everywhere he goes. I think the late time we talked he was pulling 50lbs max. He's 64 and an ex saddle bronc rider so I know he's tough as nails but hurts everyday. Like I said. To each their owm
