DPMS 21” chrome lined bull barrel upper in .223. DPMS lower with DPMS parts kit. 6 in 1 retractable stock. ATN X-Sight II 2-14 Night Vision Scope. Should be a coyote killing machine. Thinking about adding a silencer but not sure if I was to go through all the headache of ATF paperwork. First time using a digital scope. Took five shots to dial it in. Basically you put it in zero mode and send a round down range. There are two crosshairs on the screen. One white and one red. Keep the white on where you aimed at the target and using the up down left right arrows on top of the scope move the red one to the point of impact. Next show should be where you aimed. You can repeat the process to dial it in further if you aren’t satisfied why the results.

That's awesome. Like the digital scope setup. Can you guys uses lights at night?? We are allowed to after deer seasons. An orange light required I think, I've never done night time spot lighting coyotes but have used night vision before. Pretty awesome.

The scope can see light at a wavelength of 850nm. The only thing you or any four legged creatures can see is a faint red glow when looking into the illuminator (flashlight). Otherwise it’s completely invisible. In Texas we can spotlight and use night vision to predator hunt no problem.

Awesome looking setup there. I know of a few guys that have made the switch to the night vision for predators and are having amazing results so far.

Do you have a separate night vision unit for scanning, or are you using the scope for that?

I plan to use the scope to start with but may invest in a hand held unit at some point. I may get tired of swinging around that heavy barrel at some point.

image.jpeg Good looking setup ! My nightime hog hunting gun wears an ATN Night Arrow four power NV scope. Coupled with a good IR flashlight it does very well, but costs quite a bit more than the digital stuff (that really wasn't available when I bought mine).

Friday night I head shot a 100 lb. pig at a little over 200 yards, and that's not only the farthest I've ever killed with it, if it hadn't been a pig, I probably wouldn't have even tried it. May need to rethink my max effective range !

He was DRT using 115 gr. Federal Fusion in a 6.8 SPC. This is a Mossberg rebarreled to 6.8 SPC II.
