Received my order of one pound of "seeds" today. Total of 39 nuts and no floaters. Placed in ziplock bag with no added moisture.

I will be planting a bunch of chestnuts that came from a tree bought from Chestnut Ridge. They are located about 45min south of me and my neighbor is good friends with the owners. These two trees pictured were planted as 3 ft seedlings from them approximately 9-12 yrs ago. I am very impressed with the amount of nuts they produce. Both trees started dropping in late September and one is still holding approximately 25% of its nuts. Almost all of the nuts fell out of the bur while in the tree instead of just dropping the burs. Please keep us posted with your progress next season. By the way, I enjoyed your YouTube videos.

I ordered.3 pounds and just got them today......looks like a little over 100 total.

They are in the fridge for hibernation!

I have had no complaints with their 3 gallon container trees bought at retailers thus far. I bought 3 in 2014 and another 3 in 2015 - all on sale of course. I had 1 die, my fault (planted below grade on downward slope - drowned the poor thing). No nuts yet but I have gotten them to flower. I watered each the summer they where planted and they have done fine ever since on their own. I cage them just like I do my fruit trees.

Good luck.

I will likely use about 60 of mine, so I will have extras.......seems like there are always a few people that want them come spring time, so I order extras!

Are you guys ordering the ones for planting? I ordered their regular ones before they offered the one for planting and had no issues noticed their planting ones are out of stock.

I have just used the standard XL nuts for planting with great success. Just got in 3 lbs - almost 100 nuts.
