My wife collected a large freezer type ziplock bag of live oak acorns from the Tractor supply lot ~ 10 days ago to feed our pet flying squirrel named "Weebs"
i glanced at the little babies on the counter today and over half have sprouted radicles!!
Acorns fell last fall and had been sitting on the lot for several months!!!
No stratification(yes, I know not needed for whiteoaks), no peat moss, refrigeration, added moisture, special mediums, temp monitor, etc etc etc
i am fascinated and humbled by all things baby trees
Intelligent design.....Divine.....
