Binos repair?

So my Nikon Monarch 5 finally bit the dust, 6 years of banging up and down ladders and treestands they finally broke. I have to admit I am the worst person when it comes to protecting them. Its no ones fault but my own. I love this set and to date are the best pair I have ever owned. I would love to have them repaired. Any suggestions beside what Nikon tells you? And from what I read so far, the warranty is only good for one year. I know I don't have the sales receipt. I know I will not get them back in time to finish my season but would like to get them fixed. I will be purchasing a new pair this week, I can't go the rest of my season with no binos!!!!

Any suggestion on a new set???? And also any suggestions or products you use to protect them?
Thanks

I sent my Monarchs in last year for a broken eye cup. They repaired for no charge and they were timely. I’m thinking Monarchs have a lifetime warranty. Mine are probably 5 or 6 yrs old. Send them in. What do you have to lose?

That is what broke on mine too, was the right eye cup. Did you contact them first or just ship it to the repair address with a description of what is broke?

I see you are a man after my own heart with the sweet turkey picture!!!

Thanks

As I recall I got on the website and followed the directions.
I do some deer hunting and I duck hunt every chance I get but turkey hunting is my real passion.
I am concerned though, about our turkey population down here in the South. It’s been in decline for several years.

I hope you can get them fixed. If not, I would buy another pair of Monarchs. I love them.

I have the same Nikon Monarch and have a great story about them. They were given to me as a gift so no receipt. The last day I hunted with them one year and I had my son with me in the stand. He was about 6 years old at the time. As I held down on a doe across the field he had my Nikon's watching the scene unfold. When I shot he dropped them to the ground unbeknownst to me. We retrieved the deer and headed home. I didn't do any kind of gear check and didn't hunt again that year. Sometime mid summer the following year I'm poking around that stand and I see my binoculars laying on the ground. They were pretty chewed up from the mice and the eye cup no longer stayed on but they actually still worked. I called Nikon and they replaced them at no charge to me. They even upgraded me to camo from flat green. I will always do business with them for that reason. Good product and great customer service.

I have two binoculars, one 8x42 and one 10x42, both Nikon. Funny story, I’ve been thinking that I need a new pair because things aren’t as clear as they used to be. Sitting in the stand a couple days ago on a long lane, 325 yards to the end, I got to thinking why the bino wasn’t as clear as it should be. Then, I remembered I had eye surgery on my right eye in May. I refocused the right eye cup and, voila, I don’t need new binos. Saved myself some hard cash. Bummer though, I had been looking at reviews for the Mavens and had almost talked myself into them, especially since a friend has some and swears by them. Next time maybe.......
