That's a little different from around here. Any restaurants that were able to open up are flooded out. Then again, chinese and mexican are niche markets, not mainstream american dining. Even if the place was full before people may be a little hesitant about ethnic dining. If our pa dutch restaurants like shady maple smorgasbord open they'll be packed out for sure. The other Saturday people were backed up two miles down the highway to get takeout from one of the best caterers in the county and the police came out to shut them down but they were too late, they were sold out of food before the police arrived.I ate in a restaurant the first time since Early March today. The Mexican restaurant I ate at was always almost standing room only before the hoax came along that for some reason the powers that be decided to kill our economy. There were a few cars when we pulled up but most were sitting in the car. We went in and there were only 2 people dining inside at noon on taco Tuesday. Everyone else was afraid to come in. We got our food and ate inside and it was nice. Nobody else came in while we were there and there were just a few waiting in cars. I asked the lady who took our money if it would ever come back...she asked “will what come back” I said the people, the economy and she said “this is good, I just hope this disease goes away and people stay home”...it was sad that she doesn’t even see that sitting home is absolutely no life...
