Age help

Hey everyone, haven't posted anything lately but have been following along. This is "socks", got his name from the white on his hooves. These pictures are from last fall, he usually doesn't show up until the middle of November so I'm just hoping he survived. I passed him last year because I think he has some real potential with the mass and height he has. Just wondering if some people would help me age him?
Thanks

I was hoping for 3 1/2- 4 1/2, I probably should have shot him thinking back, he does look older.
I was initially thinking 3 1/2 because a couple pictures I had of him the year before he only looked to be 2 1/2. Here's a couple from the year before

You normally don't get a neck that large at 2.5, I don't care what part of the country you are in.

That buck was mature enough to shoot last year. I'd be quite surprised if he wasn't 5.5 or older last year. If you pass him this year, then you must hunt in a whitetail dream world.

Like I said, I should have shot him last year while I had the chance. Believe me, we are about as far from a whitetail dream world as you can be. I own 140 acres and have 2 does and 1 fawn that are living there right now. Our deer numbers are at an all time low. That's why I don't usually see many bucks until November. We had a hard winter a few years ago and they haven't been able to recover yet.
I usually hunt all season and might see 10 different deer in total.
