It was a great season for me, the harvest was a cherry on top.
I took great enjoyment in converting an old cow pasture into a corn and soybean food plot with a new new to me two row planter. The results were phenomenal for my first attempt. The raccoons enjoyed it more than I did however. The little bit of corn that made it into deer hunting season was gone by Thanksgiving. Next year it will be bigger and better.
Using the cameras on video mode was also new to me, and something I will continue to do.
Yesterday I picked up one of these to enhance my photography arsenal-
Farmhunter- funny you should mention scrapes as I located a new one the last time I was on the property, and put a camera on it. Usually scrapes on my place are a “one and done” scenario, but I’m hoping for more this time.
Deadeye- I’ll google up those tripod stands. Seem like they might fit in on my place.
TripleC- Thanks for the complement. The north country can be quite beautiful in the winter. Two requirements are: a snow blower and a four wheel drive vehicle. The rest you simply have to adjust to. The temperature is in the upper 20’s today, and a buddy of mine is standing crotch deep in a stream trying to catch rainbow trout. That’s a real adjustment.
Native and Weekender, thanks for the complements. Like I said, the buck was the winning run in the bottom of the 9th. The rest of it was almost as enjoyable.
