Our local guy told me today he has caught over 100 coyotes and 35 cats this year so far

I want to see that same technique with a 35lb tom. I am thinking we could all learn something from a video with that content. LOL! Bobcats are always fun to release. Cable choke sticks work alright, but there is a fine line between a released cat and a dead cat! I refer to releasing cats as playing with a tornado that has claws. A mature cat can shred a pair of Wrangler jeans in short order, best if you are not wearing them at the time.

I liken it to trying to catch a circular saw blade while it’s running.

Not sure I've even seen a 35lb cat. Balls factor may change a bit in that situation! Had a cat that I caught by hand get a hold of me once. Very much like a tornado with claws. I bleed a lot! Turkey, are you saying you take your pants off to release a cat? You are the man!
