Guys if anyone is interested in Chestnut Hill dunston chestnut trees. They have them at Winchester Ky Walmart. They have 14 trees left for 13.41 each. I picked up 6 for a friend.

Are these the 3 gallon? I will be in St Louis for work all next week and I saw where one of the walmarts there carried them. I plan on checking and seeing if they by chance have a few left marked down. I picked up a couple that way last year. Also Rogers, those Kentucky Chinese chestnuts are growing great for the late start. They have been slurping up the water as dry as it has been. I've never had to water chestnuts this much. I now know how Mattpatt and and our other Deep South friends feel..

Wow those look pretty good for this late in the season. Most of the ones I see people get marked down don't look near that good. Give it time and you can probably get them cheaper yet.

Here are a couple of links that may help if you are looking for Dunstans on sale at Walmart. The prices are not always 100% accurate, but I have found that the inventory is usually accurate.

Instead of waiting for them to get marked down again, ask the garden center manager if they will do another price drop if you buy 3-4 trees. It worked for me earlier this year. The manager readily agreed to do another mark down which was an additional 50% off the already marked down price. It cannot hurt to ask.
