Catalpa for turkeys

I ordered 10 catalpa trees to plant at the house for future fishing bait providers. But really only need about half of them.

So I was thinking about planting the other few around my food plots for turkeys. Maybe one on bank of duck pond for the ducks and fish. I’ve never heard of anyone doing this.

Do the Catawba worms fall to ground much or do they pretty much stay up in the tree?

If they drop I’d think this would be great high protein food for turkeys and their poults.

Thoughts?
