Standing there looking at your no trespassing sign with a hand cannon on his hip. Then pics from another location? I'm assuming the other location is interior (on your place) to the no trespassing sign? I would think a talk with the sheriff expressing your concerns of armed strangers on your place is in order.

Same here. We blocked every trail and road now they are driving down the power line ROW. They have been sent multiple letters from the owner of the parcel with pics of them on the parcel. The sheriff and dnr won't do a damn thing.

It would be awfully hard to keep the nails and scrap metal from bouncing off my truck while driving that path.

HA! I was about to post the same thing. I thought that was a south Louisiana trick. Roofing tacks soaked in vinegar to rust is what I've seen used. They were used the opposite way though. There were areas "tacked" by locals so leasees would give up and leave. Burning camps was also regularly practiced by some.

I fear this problem will only get worse as the sun circles the center pole. I'm surprised it hasn't boiled over already. I feel bad for the public land guys who were told that land was for hunting. Meanwhile, private land stewards get to run up the score on food, cover, and water. The clashes are bound to come as public spaces are ruined and private lands are enhanced.

Pastor Terry recognized him as famous gin senger Owen Miller from the carter the next county over. Terry is going to talk to him and says he won't be back. The trespasser came in through the Jordan farm in the hollow one over where the other end of my property extends down into.

Armed tresspassing is a felony here, and one that won’t go unpunished if the trespasser is identified. A couple years ago I asked a GW point blank what I was allowed to do with a tresspasser. He said if he was unarmed you can call law enforcement and hope they can catch him. If he’s armed you can forcibly detain him. I can see that opening a can of worms but I’d have to make that decision at the time and place.

I don’t think he was implying ethnicity. I read it as a guy was standing right under a sign that stated no trespassing and he trespassed anyway as if he didn’t understand English.

Yep, soon as I saw the pic knew what he's doing. Then spotted the hoe hanging by the holster. 'Tis the season Geo. Usually get them about once a year at my place, either hitting it early (August) or sometime in Sept. Unfortunately posted signs mean nothing to them. Hope your pastor friend can bring Mr Miller to Jesus.

Drycreek, detaining the armed trespasser does seem to be a bit counter intuitive. There is no permit here in Kentucky for concealed carry and it it seems that everyone is carrying one or two all the time, every where and if you ever need a gun just look in someone's car. I think that there may also be a armed trespass stipulation here.

I'm thinking that a trespass fine would have put the old guy in the red for the day.
While it is possible to find a plant on my property I don't think it will be my fortune. Pastor Terry found this one and it was an act of God and this story of the power of prayer even made it in to Sunday's Sermon with my permission.
