Working at the Farm - Took a few I-Phone Pics

Thanks you sir. I try my best!
The average hunter doesn't have any idea what is possible with the right deer management, especially in the realm of holding mature bucks on small properties.
Because of all the scoffers and naysayers blinded by their own ignorance I've kindof given up trying to tell people how to do it. It's a case of either you take interest and learn on your own and "you know" and recognize the others who know and are doing it, or, "you don't know" and therefore you don't believe it's possible to hold mature bucks on a few acres, for it's almost impossible to get to see it firsthand if you aren't doing it yourself.

I'm doing the lanes this year. You have a good bit of forbs out in there it looks like. Have you ever overseeded anything like clover into the mowed lanes?

No, the grass stools are so thick you couldn't get anything like that to come up. However, you will get some tender new grass and a few native forbs to react to the sunlight, and they will browse those very well deep into November. At times I've seen them stand in those lanes and eat - and never make it to the plots before dark. My guess is that tender new growth of NWSGs is as least as good as cereal rye.

You will also see them browse the sidewalls of the NWSGs - probably because the existing forbs are easier to eat while standing in the lanes.
