IF you mean rear axle weight...no
He probably means it has to be way over what your 2500 was rated for with a gooseneck from the factory. Assuming you are over 15k total..most 2500s arent rated that high. We dont know the configuration of the truck...obviously you can pull it. But if you're over the legal weight and get in an accident the first thing the other persons lawyer will do is weigh everything...

Gotcha...it’s a farm truck and farm trucks around here pull a lot more than 15k...I have seen at least 4 different 3/4 tons pulling equivalent dozers and this weight backhoe in the past 2 weeks around here...in broad daylight...on the highway...lol

Probably Chevy and Ford guys with these type of questions, they are not aware of the RAM capabilities! ;)

There are a lot of hot shutters in this area and I see a lot of 3/4 ton trucks pulling some pretty crazy loads long distance...having said all that I do wish I had my old 2004 6 speed standard dually Ram truck I traded in on this one just because of how others perceive it even though this truck will pull circles around my old 5.9 Cummins truck with this 6.7 Cummins...my old truck pulled pretty good but this one is really amazing but I am sure some would not think so...

I bet you have a hard time staying off that dozer. It would sure make my project tomorrow easier.

I have fun on the tractor, but a dozer would be the best tool for the job. Sadly, all the operators around me are tied up. Tractor for me. Maybe one day I’ll get one.

I have to be careful with the dozer. It does so much stuff so fast that you can get in a rhythm and then look back and say...wow, I cleared more than I intended! Lol

That’s one of the reasons I sold mine, I was doing too much ! I still have my backhoe, but lots of times I wish I still had my dozer for a few hours.

I haven’t been on the dozer in a few days but I bought diesel for it and I decided to go fill it up about 4:30 this evening. I got it full and got on it and it kicked right off and purred like a kitten...decided to just do a quick little push and the next thing I know I have another huge pile of trees and another open area in the woods...it’s nuts how quick this thing works! I would have worked all day long with my chainsaw to get a clearing the size I made in an hour...and I would have still had stumps!

I watched a guy do that on one and couldn’t believe how fast he was. Sadly, he’s booked so I spent the day yesterday with my tractor and the chainsaw to make the opening. Sun up to sundown. It’s a good thing that’s the kind of work I really enjoy :)...and I still have stumps.

Okie - Something about you and big equipment just go together. Better be careful or you won't have any trees left on your place! Be interesting to see if your summer bush hogging work goes by the wayside now that you have that beast. Bet you got folks calling constantly about dozer work. Keep posting! Always enjoy catching up on your thread.

I have a big job to start the 22nd of this month clearing some land...having to wait on surveyor to start. Other than that nothing else other than our own stuff. I am hoping it picks up soon but to be fair I haven’t really advertised yet...

Got a little snow last night...

Glad to see the Bulldozer man with his feet up for a few minutes.
Clover looks awesome!
I have been kicking it a couple days in South Dakota...super nice weather here but Nebraska was a mess on the way up.
