City slickers ask what "filter," I used on those pictures...tell them no filter needed for scenes like that!Only half dozen bucks you say, but dang, very nice. good luck on them. Loved the sunset pics and hard work looks to be paying off.
That palmated buck is a stud! I bet when the bucks disperse from bachelor groups you will gain bucks. Is there much ag in the area at all. At my place here in Illinois, once the first corn fields are harvested, we start seeing all kinds of bucks that we have never seen. It's like someone flipped a switch.

All the aerials that G has been posting of his neighboring property made me realize I haven't even provided one on this thread.Property boundary is in red, with a stream aka branch, forming the bottom western boundary. The diagonal central drainage also holds water year round. The grey lines mark planned 2019 TSI/hinge-cut project areas. The two being about 4ac each (not to scale) and the line being about an acre on the south facing slope below the Honey Hole food plot. The project seems attainable this winter and I think is sized correctly for the first attempt. Definitely not trying to hack and cut everything but the past few years have shown that addressing these 3 areas can only help at this point. Staying away from what we believe is the Slammer's preferred bedding area and if these project areas become bedding areas they are still far enough away and up-wind (prevailing) from stand locations.Good luck with the TSI. I’ll be out doing some post season scouting soon.
Eastern KY was hit really hard with EHD. We just found one dead buck last fall (2017), but smelled a few dead deer we didn’t find. Areas east of us were really bad. Several counties had over 200 reported cases and one over 500. There’s a report available on the fish and wildlife website.
Sounds good, we'll stay in touch.Good to see you posting up Anthony. I saw that cabin on Google earth and wondered if that was yours. Good luck with your habitat this week. I'm back in MI this morning but hope to meet up with you soon down there.

Whippoorwill - Have you got any more pics of the one-eyed buck? Curious if he made it thru the season. Enjoying your thread!
