Well, mowing doesn't kill the grass ... just something you have to contend with later.

I've built a "pup" that goes on the left side of the 4 wheeler, so, now, I cover a 10 foot wide swath. But, buy one. I built this one and bought the second one.

Do you intend to let the clover growing or terminate the whole plot and seed something else? I’m located not too far from you by the way. Catawba area
I’m interested in that product. How much collateral damage do you get from dripping and ATV tires?

None ... nada ..... use this method, when there is lots of moisture in the ground and your clover is growing and it will just laugh at the glyphosate.
This gas line has a bajillion grass seeds in it and I battle grass in it every year. This is what it looked like last hunting season. In that plot is Advantage Ladino clover.

Mount it to your 4 wheeler, put 50% water and 50% glyphosate and don't start wiping until you see it dripping from the ropes. Travel slow at 5 mph or so. 1 gallon of glyphosate and 1 gallon of water allowed me to cover about 12 acres. I don't have to haul water and it will kill all the grass and any tall broad leaf weed it rubs on. I am up to 29 plots now and it saves me time.
It's not limited to just glyphosate either. If you wanted to use clethodim, 2,4d, or 2,4d-b in it, it would work the same. It's just not like a regular sprayer which will kill everything intended, big plants or small, but it serves my purpose! Wash the outside and fill it up a couple of times on the in side with plain water and you're good to go. No motors, no screens, no tips ......

I heard that.Clover is my mainstay. I'd never terminate on purpose. Dogghr is sorta between us. We'll all have to get together at the Swinging Bridge @ Paint Bank when we all can arrange it. He's not bad for a Mountaineer.

The weed wick/wiper/bar will apply herbicide to the plants it touches. If it doesn't touch a plant, the herbicide does not get applied. So, if in your "burn down" example, you've got tall and short weeds and grasses, more than likely you will not get a complete burn down.
