Nice job on the grub and doe! Like reading about public land kills, I’ve only pulled it off once in my life! Only a 140 lb 7 point but I consider it my greatest trophy due to the competition on a public WMA. Congrats again!
Stuffed backstraps. Might be my favorite meal, prime rib a close second. They were unbelievable, managed to not overcook them, 3 minutes per side x 4 sides. Absolutely perfect.
Also blasted a doe on public last night. She’ll make good steaks

I shot the biggest of five antlerless deer that were out there, three does and two fawns. Our fawns are big this year. I credit all the rain we had spring and summer as well as the acorn crop.
