What tells you it is not an otter?

I don't have either in my area so I know little about them.

For us that's easy, no water ways to support otters, and no webbed feet (footprints).

What tells you it is not an otter?

Size(guesstimating on pic), ears(otters don't have ear like that), white tip on tail and tail shape(otters have a thicker tail and no white tip)

I was going to guess mink or fisher
