Triticale Germination

I know it's been asked if triticale germinates as good as rye. I don't have a definite answer, however I had a bag sitting on my porch and some chipmunk's stole some seeds. It also seems like they have a habit of dropping the seeds as there is about 10 or so of these triticale patches in my gravel dry scape.

Not good. So not good that I’ll never plant it again. Wheat has never let me down so I’m gonna dance with the one that brung me.
