Had the crew down at the farm this weekend and did my old faithful standby, go-to cook...grilled chicken halves. But...in the spirit of always serving an appetizer prior to the meal I decided to try something I've never tried - pigs feet. That's right...pig's feet.
I was in Bells grocery in Lexington picking up chicken and sides and planned on picking up sausage to grill as an appetizer. Then I saw these pigs feet next to the chicken. Decided to give it a whirl. Bought a pack of 4.
Here's 3 hours into a slow cook on the Traeger....looked fantastic.
Pulled one off the smoker and decided to try it before the gang showed up. Ended up throwing it and the rest down in the woods. Pigs feet ain't this ol boy's cup of tea.
Saved the day with grilled chicken halves. Everybody went to bed with full bellies...
Here's where all the grilling takes place.
