The hazards of logging

This is what was underneath that tree. Blessedly no one was in the truck.

Ouch, thankfully no one was hurt. Insurance co will have slightly lower earnings as mine will this year.

Someone said logging is the most dangerous occupation that there is. Thankfully no one was injured. Ford loves making new pickup's to replace totaled ones, more jobs for Americans.

That is why you make certain the logger is insured!

When my place was cut one of the loggers was significantly injured. They had dropped a tree and it hit another that was on the ground and it came up and hit him in the face - broke his cheek and nose. Logging is very dangerous work and why I leave the significant trees for the pros to deal with.

Logger was insured. I contract thru Soterra one of the largest landowners in the country that manages timber all over the world. That assures top quality performance. The truck belonged to the logger. he will not claim it on insurance because the truck was on his fleet including log trucks and the premium increase makes it more cost effective to simply get a new truck.

And yes this was on my property.

Was In logging business for several years. I still shudder at some of the close calls we had.
