You have a lot of value in lumber right there. You might be able to sell the lumber and get enough money to hire a Mennonite carpenter to build the lean-to?

This was the day I was up there numb nutt'in around. Lumpy is looking a lot better and Old 10 is looking chunky.

I have, in 5 years, never seen Old 10. I am lucky to get one peek at a mature deer during hunting season. I can't be too choosy.

That tree might be perfect for cutting some arched rafters out of, if you can find enough of them for a full set, you might be able to build a really exotic lookin cathedral. How's the deer hunting going?

I think that the cathedral will be geometrical. I hunted once last week when I got the right wind and didn't see a deer. I have been busy looking for 16 1/2 footers before they all rot.

This part of the deer season is called the "October Lull" in PA. Bucks are not moving at all in daylight, and not more than they have to at night. Smart hunters are saving their hunting time for Halloween week.
P.S. Geometrical in architecture means "a shape", so now I know exactly what the lean-to will look like
