George - Every time I get the chance to catch up on your thread I think about meeting you and others thru cyberspace in 2013 on the old forum. Of all the guys I've come to know thru the keyboard, thinking of you battling AO in Iowa, then the move to Colorado, and now back to good ol' Kentucky is kin to following along with Lewis & Clark on their expeditions. Cabin looks inviting. Can't wait to see what you do with the old timbers out out of the barns.
How many, and how big are your bedding areas that you are putting in?
The ole bag of frozen peas.... poor guy. I hope you at least sprang for a set of nueticals.

No I did not spring for prosthetics. He lost them as an effort to curb his strange dog intruding upon his territory aggression. I doubt that losing his nuts will stop all aggression but it should temper the intensity.

I still find it hilarious that the prosthetics even exist (outside California anyway). I’ve got a one year old Vizsla and I wish I could temper his intensity in general. He’s intact and will be at least until he turns two, but boy I’m kinda looking forward to him becoming an old dog.

My friend Richard has a young, 3-4 years, intact vizsla and that was the dog that started Tanks career as a killer. Victor viciously attacked Tank and tripped his kill switch. Tank would have killed that dog while in Richards arms if I wasn't able to submit Tank. I ended that dust up pretty quickly but Victor took some damage to one of his rear legs. It was fortunate that Tank didn't bite his leg into pieces. My impression, vizslas are wound up pretty tight.

I think like any breed it comes down to socialization whether or not they’ll be male aggressive. My dog was at a trainers and surrounded by other intact males at 6 months and isn’t aggressive at all. In general, they are very high energy dogs with incredible drive and owner attachment. Which at times can translate into them being huge pains in the ass. If they were more popular the pounds would be full of them. My dog had a gps collar and I take him out daily for a run, he averages 12 miles and that barely takes the edge off of him.
