July 4th gathering required somebody cook something. I obliged. Fired the pellet grill up bout 10:00 a.m. and threw on a couple racks of spare ribs.
Let em go low n slow for a few hours, then wrapped for a couple more hours. Threw on the chicken thighs about 2/3 thru the cook and they all finished bout the same time.
Had the sides ready to roll about dinner time. Everybody ate well.
BTW...I'm still doing a little habitat work these days. Got up bout daybreak on friday and mowed the clover and a trail through the pines that leads into the largest plot. This trail runs thru a narrow strip of thinned pines flanked by hardwood draws on each side. Deer that enter this plot on the south side usually do so from this trail. Seems they also like the path of least resistance.
Low n behold...even got a few pears this year.
