So the app is telling me spicebish. Can anyone confirm? It's in a low lying bottom like most of my land.

I've read the berries are consumed by birds and some small game like raccoons.

It's quite prevalent on my property and grows quite well in shaded areas.

Definitely spicebush.

Yes, some deer eat it. Every herd is different in what they prefer and what they don't prefer.
