sensor on game camera

The cloudy looking cover that covers the sensor on my camera disintegrated. if I turn it on it takes pictures until the batteries go dead or it gets dark. does anyone know what I can replace it with. it looks like some type of plastic.

How old is the camera? Have you called the manufacturer to see if they will fix or send a replacement part? I've never heard of that failing on a camera before...I have to assume it is pretty old. May be time to chunk it and get a new one. I would be interested to know make and model.

I had a browning trail camera and had pictures of a bird pecking a hole in the sensor cover. Emailed Browning customer service and they sent me one at no cost.
