Central Kentucky. Planted 4 food plots with radishes and turnips on August 30. Previous rain was August 12. Ground was hard and crusty. Tilled, cultipacked, broadcasted seed, cultipacked again. Did not get rain until about September 28. So about six weeks with no rain and about 4 weeks with no rain after planting. I was worried that these plots would be a complete failure. I inspected the plots on October 19th and was pleasantly surprised to see that not only had we had germination but the plots were looking really good. Nice complete coverage with healthy looking plants. Probably don't have enough days left to develop big radishes and turnips but it certainly was not a failure.
