Plant id

Just wondering if anyone can help me if this plant? It seems to grow in clusters and not sure what it is. The deer in my area really like it for cover and seem to be browsing on it quite a bit.
Thanks

I have no idea what it is.....but can you give us some info as to where you find it growing.....regional portion of a state and the type of habitat you find it in....upland, bottom land, full sun, shade, dry soil, wet soil, does it produce a fruit or flower? Those things will all help someone much smarter than me narrow down what it is.

I have never noticed a flower or anything on it but not saying it doesn't produce one. I just recently started paying attention to it when I noticed the deer hanging around it.
Most places I see it growing are on the sides of roads and one abandoned yard is absolutely full of it! Bush seems to grow 6-8 ft tall. Seems to be in relatively dry to damp soils. I'm in Nova Scotia
Thanks

Friend, looks like you have an incredibly nice stand of Japanese Knotweed - a very invasive species.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, and best wishes....

Wow! Thank you. I almost dug some of this up to plant around my food plot! But wanted to learn a bit about it first. Good thing I did.
From what I'm reading about it, it doesn't look like the deer even eat it so maybe they are just hanging around it for cover

Yes that is the case with lots of invasives. They do provide cover but there are always other good choices for cover that don’t come with the problems. Good luck.

It's a horrible invasive.
There are thousands of acres of it here in SW Pa.
It can grow almost anywhere...sun or shade. But it really seems to like steam coridors, railroads, and power lines.
It can speaders by erosion, too. If a piece of root breaks off along a stream, it can float away to establish a new invasion.
I've never seen deer eat it but honey bees really like the flowers. But that's no reason not to kill the crap.
