Has anyone planted their keiffer pear trees with much success? What root stock are the grafting to? If you have pictures that would be helpful also.

I planted some last year. They have been through 2 growing seasons and are doing well with minimum care. Will take some pictures for you tomorrow.

These were planted in winter 2015, so they've been through 2 growing seasons. They are caged and have lumite mats. The trees are all alive and seem happy, and most have grown pretty well.

These pear trees, on the other hand, were planted fall 2015 from Wildlife Group. They've been through 1 growing season. They are tubed and have lumite mats. They were about 4 ft tall to start and have all grown well out of their 5 foot tubes.

The next time I plant pear trees, I will order from the Wildlife Group.

I think 20 feet with the Nativ Nursery pears and 25 with the Wildlife Group pears.

I should also add that the WG pears are planted in much better soil so it's not exactly a fair comparison.

Some really nice cages. I also don't think it is fair to compare early growth with non-tubed tree vs tubed trees. I have both and the tubed trees always grow faster at first to get out of the tubes.

Trees look great
