Lots of Bucks.

Those are some really good looking bucks, but all that green looks even better! That’s what I now dream about.

Sorry to butt in on the wrong thread but I need some advice if anyone’s willing. I live In South Georgia I’ve leased 60 acres for a little over 5 years the last 3 I’ve gotten really into trying to figure the place out and hunt mature deer. In those 5 years there has been 2 does and 1 buck killed before the buck I shot in December of 2023 nothing had been killed in over 2 years. I consistently throughout the year get 4 to 5 does on camera at most. So I’ve never shot any does because they have fawns every year and in my mind they are the reason I get bucks come in the property. From October to end of season I get a crap load of 1 year to 2 year old bucks never any mature ones if I do it’s maybe 1 decent deer once rut comes in but I always let them go thinking maybe if I just hold out he will come back bigger next year. The landowner does not burn so it’s super thick pines I hunt pretty narrow lanes and I have 3 stands setup the property is shaped like a rectangle so I have one up front one in the back and one in the middle the main one I hunt is the front piece of the property because that’s where I killed my 4.5 year old buck last year. Do I need to start shooting does I don’t know what to do. About 3 years ago for 2 years maybe I got great mature deer 140+ inch deer but after that year or so no more. I know there are big deer in the area because of the owners of the neighboring property’s have showed me harvest’s and trail cam pics of good mature deer. I’m just at a stand still with the place I plant summer and winter plots deer never really bother with it. No water that I know of other than the flint river which is 3 miles east of me so I put water out. It only gets drank during rut. HELP!!!
