It's not for snow, it's for loading and cleanup. Two guys can load a deer with almost no effort, rather than the old "swing back, now up!" manuever.

Cold and windy with 4" of new snow that is drifting in 20 mph winds, here's a game cam pic from this morning, wish I was out hunting in French Settlement, LA! Good luck with your hunt.

Late season doe hunt over rye to fill that last little corner of the freezer. Freezing rain and the rye is rather icy, 50/50 chance I'll see nothing.
But im having fun, aren't I? Absolutely!
My Dewalt heated jacket is paying for itself right now and the 360 hunting blind has double windows, so i lift the iced over window and have a clean window to look out. 1 hour of shooting light left.

Buck hunt

Ground blind at edge of swamp surrounded by a palmetto thicket. Got doe in estrous and buck urine out, we’ll see. IMG_4930.jpeg
 
Watching a food plot in PA, 1 hour until end of shooting time, the best hour.
I'm mostly just sitting because I enjoy a good sit at a new place, and also, I want to see what all shows up, but I do have a legal tag if I need one20260102_160432.jpg.

Well, you own the fun, and at least you did get a few to make bologna, which is the important part. Maybe next year you will have Montana ready to go.
Me and the boy each got a nice buck and several doe earlier.
Tonight I decided to shoot a large doe in the neck at a hundred yards so I don't have to drag her up a steep bank. Well, I have a few lame excuses ready, but the truth is that I never even scratched her...
