Live from the Stand - 2025

Sits like that are what it's all about, that's why we put all the habitat effort in during the off-season. Having all your deer on the property out at last light is such an interesting time it's almost a sacrilege to shoot something 🤔
Id love to see some pics

This is the 8 with the big body about 15 minutes after I first saw him. About what I thought I was seeing.

This is the 10 I watched that I said would be a good one next year.

You have some chunky bucks Native, you must be feeding them well !

Right Now we could feed all the deer in the state:
1. More wasted corn on the ground next door than I have ever seen.
2. Soybeans nearby that won't be picked because of poor production.
3. The most acorns of all kinds I have ever seen. I almost fell today walking on them.
4. Big fruit crop of all kinds - persimmons, pears, apples, etc....
5. Successful plots
6. Typical heavy browsing on tender regrowth in shooting lanes. (Seems to be equal to food plots)

Pennsylvania bear muzzleloader season opened this morning and I've been watching over a cornfield and a draw with a CVA Bergara Accura V2 .50 with Hornady 250 gr SST sabots and 100 grains of 777 since 4pm.
I'd love some bear steaks, but we've only seen them pass through here sporadically this fall.

I ate bear one time and got sick as shit. My stomach was like in knots for hours You couldn't pay me to eat or hunt it. The videos of people hunting bears over a bait pile and just getting wiped out cause they can't see is appalling. I watched some guys tree a Bear with dogs and walk up and shoot it 15 feet up in a tree and celebrate. It's one of the most pathetic things I have ever witnessed.

I don’t know you victory & I’m not one to comment much on here but you seem to have something negative or combative to say on every single topic. It’s almost funny at this point lol. I guess it keeps things interesting.

It is probably best to start a new thread for this, but I'd be interested in hearing just what kind of hunting you do and find ethical. I'd like to hear about the techniques and equipment and such. I find it fascinating to see where different folks draw their ethical lines and why.

Awesome scene. I could sit there all day…with a lot of snacks, of course.

Bear meat is superior to venison. Sure, you can’t eat it medium rare but the fat in the meat makes it delicious even well done. Seems weird to me that so many claim a bad experience.
