I noticed Muzzleloader and Archery season began the 12th of this month - are any of our Kansas neighbors hunting and if so what are you seeing?
Not hunting yet. I've had a bum foot for over a week now, doves are flying, work is busy, and I don't get to excited about deer until both my kids have shot one and the rut has started. Burned out a lot of good ground when I was younger in the early season, then had so/so November hunts. I'm a very low impact/disturbance type hunter now and that doesn't include hunting early (of course if I had a monster patterned I would make an exception).
Who wants to hunt in all this rain we've been getting anyway?![]()
Sorry, had toI see what you did there...![]()
No. I ran something through my shoe and most of the way through my foot (I did an interesting dance). 30 minutes and a pair of plyers later I had it out, but my foot swelled up pretty good and there was considerable pain. This is after a week of meds and very little improvement...You are right sometimes it can be really good. But alot of the time the bucks have broke out of their groups and are hard to even see unless you get a cold front.Youth season can be really good as the bucks are still grouped sometimes.Do you have planter fasciis

Wow that looks painful. Hope you heal soon. May want to touch base w/ Dr again. Seems pretty slow healing. Puncture wounds can be very slow healing and very dangerous with infections. I'm thinking you have debris in there. I have a buddy that wrecked while racing dirt bikes causeing a puncture wound on his arm. Didn't look all that bad but he got to spend 5 days of his vacation in hospital.No. I ran something through my shoe and most of the way through my foot (I did an interesting dance). 30 minutes and a pair of plyers later I had it out, but my foot swelled up pretty good and there was considerable pain.
