Just an idea.

Is dutch white hard seed? If it is, then I doubt that seeding it very early would be a problem.

I mow my lawn once a week. That is one benefit I see with the Dutch white. You can mow low and often as you like. I keep my lawn at 2 - 3 inches. It will seed out at very low heights. I’m not saying this is the only option but it’s really a clover plot that is very attractive and looks like a lawn in all respects. It has always amazed me the deer will completely ignore my clover food plots once the snow gets deep but will dig the lawn up all winter.

I'm interested in how long I can go between mowings and if it's 4-6 weeks how tall will it get. The guy mowing our hunting camp moved and I may have a hard time finding someone to replace him.

My deer keep mine mowed. The only time I really need to mow is for weed control.

White Dutch clover doesn't grow very tall. Weeds are what would need to be mowed.

Seeded clover and had my third daughter today her name is clover. The lord Christ has blessed me very much. Now I can always tell her how old the plot is to the day.
