Hydro-Ax?

Anyone have experience using a hydro-ax for land clearing? I have a few areas on my property that I would like to clear for tree planting. These areas are old logging decks with thick brush that regenerated from a previous thinning around 10 yrs ago. Much too thick for a bush hog to help much, and would prefer to keep the soil intact and undisturbed. Any tips/pointers/things to consider would be appreciated. Planning to do it in February.
