Herbicide selection for large plantations

Looking for input on herbicide choices to manage competition in my young oaks plantations . I've got 8 acres that I've done pretty good at keeping mowed but have a diverse stand of different broadleafs in some areas and grasses in others .

Anyone been through this? I've got some Cleth I can spray for the grasses but was curious to see what you guys had to say.

It's a pretty complicated issue...way above my area of expertise. It's hard to kill stuff and have a residual effect without hurting the oaks. I recommend you contact a forester, who will most likely have a chemical rep.

How big are the oaks? If they are big enough to spray underneath Roundup might work fine if you can eliminate drift.
